3A : 4TH period - They took their quiz. They had to write 5 words with the letter "P" and 5 words with the letter "B".
The reason for the quiz is because many students do not understand the difference in sound of these two letters.
We practiced many times with words with these two letters last week.
Students MUST STUDY FOR THEIR QUIZ. I will return the quizzes tomorrow, and I would like for the parents to sign their quiz.
6TH period : We reviewed the homework and identified the body parts of a bird. We talked about which body parts are the same for birds and people and which are not.
I gave them a short worksheet on words with a "LONG A" sound.

words like these : paint, day, say, crayon, hay, rain ALL have a LONG A sound
words like these : bag, cat, cap, nap have a SHORT A sound.
Students should know the different "A" sound. This will help them in spelling and reading words.
HOMEWORK : FINISH THE WORKSHEET! practice words with "long A" sound!
3B :
