WELCOME!

Hello my wonderful students! This blog is for you and for your parents. On this blog you will find the weekly homework posted each Saturday. Each day I will post what we did in class and I will also post what I want you to study at home.

I know English is a hard language! But I also know that you can be a successful student if you keep on working hard in class and at home! I am here to help you, and I want to help you in any way I can. If you do a good job as a student, I am sure that you will have a wonderful time learning this language!

This blog is also for parents! I am starting this blog so that what we cover in class is much clearer and if you have any questions at all you can contact me directly. With your love and encouragement, students will be successful learners :)
Thank you so much for your support!

CLASS TODAY : MARCH 1ST, 2010

Welcome back after 3 days of resting!!! I hope all of you enjoyed your time off from school!!

Today in Class

3A : There was no homework for today! We did several things in class today :

  1. I asked them about what they did during their weekend
  2. Story Writing!!  This was a fun exercise! I gave the students a worksheet with just a picture and they had to write a story.  I am very impressed with the creativity of many of the students
  3. We worked on a grammar worksheet
  4. On the back of the sheet, I asked students to draw a castle.  They all did a fantastic job!!! Again I was very impressed with their creativity! I wanted them to think about many things (so that they have fun with Lesson 2 and understand it in a different way). I wanted them to think on their own and draw where they thought the king of the castle would live, where the queen lives, where the prince lives, where the princess lives.  I also asked them questions about the castle : do they think a castle is in a city or in a forest? What is in a forest?
We might be able to do an art project with this lesson!

3B : We did not have time to do the story writing exercise, but we will do that tomorrow in class after reviewing homework .
