WELCOME!

Hello my wonderful students! This blog is for you and for your parents. On this blog you will find the weekly homework posted each Saturday. Each day I will post what we did in class and I will also post what I want you to study at home.

I know English is a hard language! But I also know that you can be a successful student if you keep on working hard in class and at home! I am here to help you, and I want to help you in any way I can. If you do a good job as a student, I am sure that you will have a wonderful time learning this language!

This blog is also for parents! I am starting this blog so that what we cover in class is much clearer and if you have any questions at all you can contact me directly. With your love and encouragement, students will be successful learners :)
Thank you so much for your support!

Today in class : April 12th

3A :
3A had English two times today.  The first class we spent a long time talking and conversing in English.  I wanted students to talk about their family members and answer who is the shortest, or quietest or funniest.  I also went over new rules with them.  From now on, there will be no more speaking Arabic in class.  For the last two months of this school year, I want students to practice as much English as they can! I want students to slowly feel more and more comfortable asking me and talking with me in English AND I want them to feel comfortable talking to each other in English.
Students speaking in Arabic will lose points in class.

I was shocked to find many students on the floor fighting, running around and screaming when I went into class in the afternoon.  For this reason, many of the students had to write " I will learn how to behave in class" repeatedly for the class period.
For those students who were well behaved, we practiced for the homework tomorrow.  Students have to write about their favorite subject and  I want them to understand that they have to write more than one sentence.

3B : we checked the homework that they had.  I understand that many students have missing pages from their workbook.  I will make photocopies of that page tomorrow and give it to those students who need it.
We also practiced for the homework tomorrow, giving 4 reasons for our favorite subjects.

I want students to understand that in English when they write about something, they must write short sentences and not one big long sentence to answer all questions.
